Cliente: Fan art
Software: Blender / Photoshop
Job: DrawThisInYourStyle Challenge
You've probably seen the tags #DTIYS or #DrawThisInYourStyle circulating on social media. But do you know what they mean?
This trend emerged some time ago and basically consists of drawing an illustration in your own style. It's a fun and creative way for illustrators and artists to share their art and allow their followers to reinterpret it in a unique way. Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the second #DTIYS by the amazing illustrator Renan Roque. I've been following Renan's work for a long time, and he has always been a great source of inspiration. When he posted a new character on Instagram, the desire to participate was huge, and trying to translate his 2D art into the three-dimensional world was inevitable. It's a great way to practice skills without worrying too much about the original concept.
To create the model, Blender was primarily used. The 3D sculpting took up about 90% of the time, while the polygonal mode contributed approximately 7%. The final touches were done in Photoshop, representing the remaining 3% of the process. All in all, it was about 10 hours in front of the computer, immersed in this project.
I hope you also appreciate the result and don't forget to check out Renan Roque's amazing work and get inspired by other #DTIYS initiatives. It's a fun and challenging experience that allows you to explore your creativity and showcase your own style.
